Abstract

There are now a large number of guidelines to follow if you want to carry out ethical research in an Indigenous context. In practice, even with the best will in the world, it is difficult to disentangle what needs to be adhered to and what is truly ethical. The path informally advocated in the field of Indigenous studies is collaborative research, but is this always possible?
